Airways Group Inc. filed for bankruptcy Sunday, saying it will
continue to operate while it tries to restructure its finances and
emerge from protection early next year.
US Airways, crippled by the attacks on Sept. 11 and burdened by
high costs, filed yesterday for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection,
the first major carrier to do so since the events last
fall. |
