Daisytek files for bankruptcy Allen-based Daisytek
International Corp. has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy
protection, a month after its U.S. units declared bankruptcy.
The office supply distributor said it is unlikely that its
shareholders will realize any value from the company's Chapter
11 case. |

Motley Fool March 17, 2003, Mathew Emmert Spiegel, the
parent of Eddie Bauer stores and cataloguers Spiegel and Newport
News, filed for bankruptcy protection today. The company listed
assets totaling $1.73 billion and liabilities of $1.70 billion,
which leaves about 12 bucks in stockholder's equity -- OK, OK, it
leaves $30 million, but it may as well be 12 bucks as, in
bankruptcy proceedings, stockholders will likely end up with a
steaming hot cup of jack squat. |

continued to struggle with its now chronic economic slump, the
Supreme Court said Tuesday. he figure was up 33.8 percent from
160,457 the previous year, according to Supreme Court spokesman

Mon, Feb. 10, 2003 Creditors OK Bryden Bid to Buy Senators
Associated Press OTTAWA - Rod Bryden's bid to buy back the Ottawa
Senators was accepted by the team's creditors but still must be
approved by the court. Bryden's offer is believed to be
worth more than $130 million, and he said Monday he was optimistic
the court would agree to the deal. He said the sale will make the
team debt free.
